G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

The landlord's sending someone to do a full electrical test next week, which I've been dreading as they need access to every room to check every socket and light fitting, and the store room is a nightmare of boxes. So I've been freeing the Joes and Cobras from their package prisons, which has freed up a lot of space in turn (though not quite enough yet). It's wild going from 150ish boxes to just everyone kitted up and comfortably dumped in a crate. It's also been an opportunity to look back at some older figures, see just how far the line has come in a few years.

I've got a week left to get ruthless with the rest of the stuff in there (mainly boxed Transformers, Mafex, and old consoles plus lots of cushions for some reason) - this weekend's gonna be 'something' all right...

Got the second half of the new wave today. Big Lob is awesome. The basketball palming hand is kind of hilarious... I won't use it, but it's funny to have.

Night Viper might be my favorite Cobra figure I've opened in a long time. Just really love the design... I stopped army builing troopers awhile ago, but I might at least get a second one of this guy, to display with the helmet off.

I got Lifeline and Hit & Run last week and they are both fantastic.

This is my favorite wave top to bottom in a while. So, so good.

OMG, I kinda want that.
Unfortunately, if he's compatible with wrestling figures I'd bet he's closer to 7" than under 6". And we all know that ICE agents and military cosplayers should definitely always be smaller than six inches.

After hearing everyone talk about Lifeline's Truckasaurus hands and opening Big Lob, I think a wire might have gotten crossed. Do Lob's hands seem a little small for his accessories to anyone else?
Big Lob's trigger figure hands do have a hard time holding his beefy assault rifle. They seem to hold the other accessories just fine, though.

I'm really liking Night Viper as well. I appreciate that his chest strap isn't loose and dangly, and he can hit some great poses since he's a bit slimmer of a build. Also, the way the strap on the rifle swivels so it looks good when the rifle is strapped to his back is so simple but so well done.

They are indeed, mostly because he’s got Starting Linenup arms.

As for Lifeline: quick swap with spare greenshirt/bear Snake-Eyes/Duke/etc hands fixes him right up. I also glued the glasses to his head and cut off the strap on his helmet and glued the goggles down on top. MUCH better and also the lack of strap makes the helmet’s shape look more like the classic figure.
