Star Trek

Daaang. Bridge stations are such a great part of a Star Trek display. That would be another hit against 7" figures if Nacelle didn't appear to be so accessory happy.
Man, the have just about every iconic set piece and accessory from TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY you could ask for. They have a full Quark's bar play set that I've had my eye on for months.

So Funko made the Next Generation crew ages ago in Pop! form, but for some stupid reason Beverly Crusher wasn't made. Fast forward to yesterday when Funko reveals they're bringing back the Star Trek line! Characters from across the franchise, including TNG! Even new versions of the TNG crew! And...still no Beverly.

It even prompted Gates McFadden herself to start a campaign to get them to make Beverly. She posted a video encouraging people to use Funko's contact form to get Beverly made.

I know few, if anyone, cares about Pops, but I thought it was noteworthy that they *still* won't complete a set.

That is SUCH BS. I didn't know they'd released Wesley in 2024. The depth of Funko's character offerings is the secret to their success, so when they randomly just won't complete line-ups, or make the last character or two really hard to get, it kills the enthusiasm for the line.

But - I'd like that silver Seven of Nine since NO COMPANY will make her. I have the Picard one.

I'm also replacing my Pop Boimler & Mariner with the 2025 Hallmark ornaments. They are a bit small but really faithfully sculpted so buh-bye bug eyes!

And poor Tasha is still missing from EVERY line-up. :(

Speaking of, @YoJoe - where's Neelix? Is he off comforting Kes in a box?

I interrupt our fretting over the quality of the upcoming Nacelle ST toys to bring you a pic of my Playmates collection. I could put my limited number of Hot Toys figures into my one of two Detolfs, but I just like the look of my ST stuff in here so much. If you are like me and are at all inclined to sink money into this relatively worthless line of figures, I highly suggest the items from Triple Fiction Productions. I love my captains' chairs and con pieces they offer but they have a ton of other stuff as well.

Man, how good was Playmates Trek stuff?

For all their faults, when Playmates goes for it and really puts their ass behind something, they go for it, full bore.

Between this line and Simpsons, fans of either were never going hungry.

I miss THAT Playmates. The ones who did that amazing Zorro line, the mid-90s Flash Gordon stuff, the Primal Instinct figures, Dick Tracy, WildC.A.T.S, Skeleton Warriors, Monster Force, TailSpin, Darkwing Duck, etc.

The ones that took big risks and made an effort and always put out quality stuff.

Sigh.....Nelix. Yes, he is missing. I'm not a huge fan, ditto Kes. I just don't get their relationship, I couldn't have cared less when Kes was written off. I think Nelix would have been better served as a supporting character, I might end up with him someday. Voyager overall is fine but out of those crews I have pictured, it's a distant 4th place for me personally. They have some good characters and some good episodes, but I think the series left a lot on the table. It seems blasphemous but I think I need to put TOS in 3rd place, and I can't decide between TNG or DS9. TNG is one of the best TV shows to ever air but DS9 is just SO good.......

Anyone know what happened to/with the Master Prop Replicas Trek line? I think that was the new licensee.

They made that big showing last year with the Picard series figures and Lower Decks and then I haven't heard a thing since.

Ha - the release date is this month. Sure. We'll see who makes it to market first, Nacelle's re-release or these. Also, it's very comforting that the solicitations is the same image but three times.

Thanks!

I don't know about the figures, but the actual prop replicas look pretty dope. I think I might like a "working" prop phaser and communicator.

I have way more Pops than I'd like to admit...mostly for stuff that don't have their own toylines currently. about 80% of my Pops are for music artists I dig. I share the frustration with you about missing characters in lineups. They've done several series of the Addams Family, based off TV, animated, and the Wednesday show, and every one of the core family has been done at one point or another except for Grandmama! It's REALLY annoying to me that they keep skipping her, as I love seeing all of the characters together, but I hate that there is such a glaring hole.

Ditto for The Rocky Horror Picture Show. They've done two different waves of them, but have yet to do the TITLE character! They've done multiple different Franks (which makes sense), two versions each of Riff, Magenta and Columbia, and single takes on Brad, Janet, and Eddie, but NO Rocky Horror himself! It would be SO easy to do a wave with Rocky, Dr. Scott, and the Criminologist to round out the main cast, but they instead opted to give us Columbia tap dancing.
And poor Tasha is still missing from EVERY line-up. :(
Tasha always gets the short end of the stick. Killed by goo, taken hostage by Romulans, killed by baby Stewie...she just can't catch a break.

Neelix is hopefully in Hell, where he belongs.
