Is this not all of them?

Is this not all of them?
It’s all the accessories from the Ultimates, but the accessory set shown below in color is only available in color.

Granted it doesn’t matter as much since none of the B&W ones have pupils so Leo would go from missing an important head to two identical heads, but it still seems like, man, just make it cost $175 and give me the accessories set in color and B&W so it’s two complete sets not complete color set and B&W missing a set of heads, grapnels, four slices of ‘za, a skateboard, etc…

Also just realized one of the accessories is the suction cup bow and arrows they shot Raph with in an early episode… I haven’t gotten far into watching 2012, but when I saw that episode all I could think was “man…seeing an Angry Raph being overwhelmed with arrows isn’t as funny now as it was a decade ago…”

Everything still available as of 30 seconds ago.

Imagine this happening in 2019, 2020. No way possible. Stuff would be gone in a moment's notice. For this all to be sticking around for hours on end really says a lot.

Now, whether that's Turtle fatigue, or fatigue of NECA's bullshit, I can't say. But one thing is for certain: no one is buying that shit.

Pretty sure it's not a "sell out fast" kind of listing. Which is why they're doing orders this early on, more than likely. Expecting shit to sell out in under a minute or two isn't really indicative of anything. I bought my set, looking forward to getting them. Whenever the hell they ship.

I'm not buying Black and White anything unless they're 3 Stooges figures, and even those I'd prefer in color. So my fatigue stems from "buy a bunch of stuff you don't want to get an accessory pack you might want." Thankfully, while I enjoyed the 2012 show, I didn't particularly love the character models of these turtles, so it's a line I can skip.

Can confirm NECA shenannigan-fatigue though. Just tracking down Tatsu was enough work that I didn't need.

You really will defend anything that they do.

I will say this as gently as I can, and I would like to state that this is being said in all sincerity before you run to the mods.

In year's past, their exclusives would sell out in minutes. That's why they had to do multiple day opportunities--to give people unable to attend the shows a chance at the exclusives. That's why they said that this was a limited drop, based off of limited quantity. It says so right in the email dropped today.

It is now currently 2:40 AM the next morning, and as I prepare for bed, everything is still readily available. For a supposed limited quantity, that's not good. And when compared to years past, even worse.

The Vacation Turtle offering sold so poorly last year that they had to mark it down 20 dollars the next day in order to move units. And even then, it only 'sold out' because they closed the sale themselves.

Meanwhile, yesterday, a different exclusive went up on Big Bad Toy Store at the same time in the Mondo Anti-Eternia He-Man--and it sold out in under 2 minutes. That's not hyperbole, no exaggeration, poof, gone in 2 minutes.

This is 1000% indicative of something. That says something. And it says something outside of whether or not NECA continues making these figures.

Now the part you really won't want to read. Again, I know you'll defend NECA until your dying breath, that much has been made very clear. But you need to face reality. This isn't an attack on you. I say this because I genuinely worry about what happens to you when or if they were to ever go out of business, because this level of fealty isn't healthy or normal. And I am being completely serious about that. You refuse to even acknowledge the signs that they're losing this license. I think it would be better for you if you move past the denial and bargaining stage of grief and join us all in the acceptance portion.

All I'll say on the matter to you.

Well it wouldn't be the first time you've been completely wrong about things. Making lots and lots of assumptions there about people and toy lines, it's a bad habit of yours. Staying up extra late to fume and fuss because you think people are unaware of how a license is going? That's just unprofessional and sad. NECA's also sat on a lot of exclusives and I'm willing to bet this is some kind of attempt to mitigate that as the world collapses and they try not to get stuck with so much product afterwards but still get their money. I guess it hasn't clicked that "limited" is generally just marketing speak, and again, used in general terms. Their con exclusives have rarely, rarely been that insanely limited, or hard to get. Trying to compare this to an extraordinarily limited release Mondo exclusive selling out is definitely something an insane person would do. Mondo does limited, for real. That's what they do. No shit it'll sell out, most people didn't even think they'd have a chance at the figure because it was originally con-only. Apples to oranges. But by all means, please, freak out some more.

We're definitely past the peak of this revived Turtle-Mania and the 2012 line is probaby not going to attract as big of a crowd as the toon or movie adaptations. This is also a pretty weak offering by their standards. A low effort exclusive few are going to be excited about. Last year's was at least event specific and largely something you weren't going to get elsewhere while the exclusives in the past often contained brand new figures. A B&W color way of a show only presented in color is about as safe as it gets in terms of cost, but also not particularly attractive. They usually have to plan these things out a year in advance too. Makes me wonder if you could get someone at NECA alone with some truth serum if they'd say they had something else planned for 2026, but had to pivot to this set for reason X, Y, or Z.

I don’t care for this set, but this iteration of the Turtles is the freshest in my mind and the one I’m most fond of. I’m really hoping they can get at least the characters they showed at Toy Fair out - Slash, Metalhead, Casey, Splinter. That said, this set is an easy cash grab for them. Black and white is less effort than making these “comic deco”, like they’d actually feature in the show from time to time. I might have bit if that was the case.

There’s a set of Minimates, I think it’s based on a Flash game or Gotcha Cell phone or something, called “Shadow Masters” where it’s the 2012 Turts in all black with their masks and highlight colors (like Wrestler Raph) being their trademark colors…

If we had to get a lazy repaint set I’d have been all over that… but I’m sure JUST B&W across all four Turts was even cheaper than all black with four different accent colors so here we are… (actually if this set is still available in a few days maybe I’ll get those extra accessories anyway and make my own Shadow Masters at home…)

Also I’m wondering if the exclusives didn’t go up early because of the Ninja Turtles, they just happen to be losing the license at the same time to the same company, but doesn’t Mattel get the rights to DC from Spin Masters in June? (Big Todd had to fight to keep them until the end of the year) Maybe NECA’s window to release that awful Mego Batman was so narrow it had to go on sale before the usual window and Ninja Turtles and Glow Halloween Kid had to go along for the ride…
