Marvel Legends Two-Packs

Man, if I cut myself off at figures of only characters I'm a fan of, I feel like I'd be missing out a lot. The characters I don't know tend to enrich my collection and knowledge. Good figures make me want to find out more about the characters.
It's really about what makes me happy. There are characters I don't know but are just cool toys. There's characters I love and their figures I don't even keep because it's a miss to what I want for them.

My thoughts exactly. I never even saw a Star Wars movie until I started collecting Star Wars Black Series. Never saw an Alien or Predator movie until I picked up an Alien and Predator figure from Neca. Figures have been my gateway into a lot of things I missed out on as a kid growing up in an extremely rural area with no cable until later in life.

I can relate to this. I grew up in the country with no cable or internet until I went away to college in the mid 90's. We had a tall TV antenna attached to the house that I grew up in that got four channels and usually only 2-3 at any given time that weren't pure static. The local ABC, CBS, NBC affiliate and Iowa Public Television. We had a local fox affiliate as well but we could never get it to work on that antenna. My parents have long since passed, but I know that they still don't have any cable/internet available in that area that isn't through the phone lines or a cell tower. It's 15 miles out from the nearest town of only about 2,000 people. Needless to say that I never moved back to the area, LOL.

Crystal was an early comic crush, and you gotta have Bolt and Medusa, one of comics' best power couples. And they're so weird. I love weird powers.

But I do wonder if I can flip Triton and Gorgon. But at that point I already have a near complete team. But...

“Crap-Lunar-Fish-Man” is looking to be the figure I admire most of these characters I find stupid and barely care about, I think you’ll find it easy to send him to a good home, even if it’s somebody who just wants to pose him as an ornament for their home aquarium. If I still had mine I’d have it decked out as a whole undersea figure diorama with characters like him

Got my set today (saving what, $1.72?). I think it's a good set but I've got mixed feelings. Gorgon is a bit too big, but honestly, he's sturdy and fun, so I'm okay with him being a beefy boy. His grip on his mace is pretty weak though, probably won't use it. Nice range of motion for a strangely built figure, though.

I much prefer this costume for Medusa and I appreciate what they were trying to do with her hair but there really is no way to put a pound of plastic to represent someone's hair and not have her feel awkward. It's okay, just... it's a big ask and I don't know that they could do it in a way that would fully make me happy. I find the grip on the faceplates to be REALLY weak, though. I stuck a thin strip of blue tac between the plate and the head to hold it in place which worked perfectly without needing to permanently attach one of the faces, but I really just don't like face plates in general. But again, in this case it felt necessary because the hair is so awkward to craft.

All that being said, I totally pulled Karnak out of the bin so I could put the whole royal family on display this week. I'm nitpicking but overall happy.
