Jada Street Fighter

What's the difference between Storm Collectibles and Storm Arena? Other than 4x the price?

Arena is 1/12. Storm is usually 1/10.

Arena has way less head and hands and accessories. You do get an alt head and hand set and one effect with Arena.

Not enough figures for me to assess the paint situation.

They are amazing figures. On model sculpts, smooth articulation, amazing paint.

Jada is good for what it is but Arena is miles better.

I collect them both like you.

For me, if Jada wasn't already far enough along, I might have pivoted to Storm based on Ken and Ryu alone.

However, I also think Ryu and Ken are the weakest of the Jada offerings. I need to see how they handle Chun Li or Vega. Especially since Storm usually whiffs on the ladies, if you compare their lines internally. Although, I do have to say with snk and soul calibur, that's partly on the character design.

And then Jada also has the nostalgia win because SF2 is pure childhood, and SFAlpha is adolescence.

They can coexist for me as a product. But as a pure toy, Storm's Ken and Ryu as a proof of concept takes the lead

How are they harder to get? They are available to preorder on BBTS right now. Pretty simple, you ask me.

The Akuma from Jada that I paid for was 29.99. That was from Die Cast Wholesaler.

Ryu and Ken from Arena were both 26.99 at BBTS.

I have Sagat coming in and he's going to be 36.99 from Storm. The Jada Sagat was 39.99.

I mean, it's fine to have a preference, but you don't need to make things up.
1) I would not say I’m a fan of either line over the other. I have some storm arena preordered but just not double dipping on characters.
2) Jada is easier to find because they’re literally easier to find. I can go on BBTs and order every Jada sf2 figure except for violent Ken, and the variants that were store exclusive right now, today. You can’t get Storm Ken or ryu in any color way except for Vism for less than about $60 from any store today, that I have seen in a quick search.
3) if you paid $40 for sagat you got a bad price because that is a 34.99 MSRP figure right now today.
4) I say storm probably won’t finish the roster because I collected storm collectibles SF and MK lines and I don’t think they ever actually finished a roster for any one game.

Lastly, it’s not that serious dude. It’s just bants about toys. I don’t think anyone on here is literally lying or arguing in bad faith ever, even if they’re factually wrong because who cares enough to do that?

I sent an apology privately to Saver, that certainly came out way more assholey than I meant for it to. I have a knack for that. I digress. Apologizing publicly now, as well. It is indeed just toys, and while passionate about this hobby, I definitely do not take it THAT seriously.

However, I still stand by the notion that I have had better luck with the Arena stuff, so far. Especially with earlier Jada releases and the QC issues. The articulation tends to be stiff and meets resistance too much in the Jada offerings, whereas Storm was smooth as butter straight out of the packaging.

I also appreciate the sculpting, and angular anime styling of the Arena, where Jada always looks soft and doughy.

Arena for the win, every time. For me.

Fully agree on the sculpting of Arena-- I absolutely love the Jada figures, but their Street Fighter figures are all off in some capacity or another, whether just the soft sculpting or being amalgamated designs. I still need to get some Arena, but I'm waiting on them putting out a character that's an instant purchase for me. That'll possibly be SF or KOF waves 3, but hopefully it's Darkstalkers. We'll see which comes first.

I agree with you on the sculpts actually.

I think a lot of the arenas look better than their corresponding jada figure.

But I don think the Jada figures are pretty accurate to sf2 art. I’m in for Charlie and especially Dan for sure on Storm.
