G.I. Joe Classified Series Parts Breakdown & Checklist

Great work and thank you for setting this all up! With all the dates and "first used by" information, we're going to become experts, CLASSIFIED HISTORIANS if you will. With the line showing no signs of slowing down, this should be a fun project moving forwards.

Amazing work! I honestly had no idea just how much part reuse there has been in the line. With different combinations, colors, and overlays so many figures don’t even come off as having reused parts. You expect it with the repaints or trooper variations but I didn’t realize how much mileage they got out of Duke for one. Goes to show how well managed this line is with all new tooling actually pretty sparse with the majority being new heads on existing parts.

Right, and some of them are totally unexpected. Like Raptor using Zartan's neck, torso and hands but Storm Shadow's upper arms rather than Zartan's. Twilight Guard has Tripwire's waist and legs. Just kinda funny some of the parts they used. Alley Viper is a lot of Duke with Beach Head's neck for some reason and Snake Eyes' hands. Falcon was Recondo with a new head.

But it really helps when you want to just swap heads, then you can see if the necks will actually work without buying the figures to find out.

Yeah, those are interesting change ups, especially the arms. Those certainly make the reuse invisible to the untrained eye.

I think most of us the cop and green shirts will be compatible as they instantly give us 4 different faces to use on those figures. I wouldn’t display them together so having the same 4 faces in different displays works just fine for me. The hardest part of army builders with faces are not having a bunch of ‘clones’ running around. So knowing what heads work with those will be really helpful to know. I can’t help but think they would have dropped a line or two about swaps in the live stream.

Ah man, yeah that would have been helpful.

I was looking at this information and wondering if a spread sheet would be at all helpful... I may try doing that eventually do. @vicious had brought up google docs as a way to share things, which makes a lot of sense but I also don't have a lot of experience with that.
