G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #88 - Risk (Energon)

Nah.

That name sounds like a code name second grade me would have put on my custom figure because I think it sounds badass. Hell, the one I did send away for was Swamp Fox.

And I could maybe work with that. But that design is also like a bad middle schoolers sketch after they flipped through Youngblood for the first time and came up with Hellcaster The Hell Assassin Blazer Of Hell.

It's creatively bankrupt on all levels to me.

And what's up with that Task Force X/Weapon X origin story and grudge?

This dude's only accessory when he's made should be Clown Shoes.

I am of two minds about head socks. Like, if they ever released Marvel Boy properly from his New Warriors era, I would want swappable full head condom AND head sock heads. I'd probably buy him twice. But I do think they overdid ye olde headsock in the 90s. Like gambit needs one, but I liked Scotty Summers with his full skull condom better.

If they finally release Marvel Boy and he does not have two heads and a removable cape I'll write a sternly worded post and hope someone happens to read it.

I have a very short list of "how dare you" figures I'm hoping they don't fuck up before Legends ends, and that exactly Marvel Boy is one of them.

Day 87 - Hotwire (12/8/25)

Yet another character never done in Classified, I don't know where Hotwire came from but he's weird and a Cobra.

Hahahaha Hotwire had the head of Blanka from Street Fighter, painted like a regular guy.

That said: Hotwire is a great concept for a character, totally want him in Classified.

Oh man, I absolutely hate the design of Hotwire as-is, but "mad scientist trying to make the BATs less likely to kill our own soldiers" is so wildly something I want in Classified. If they cool him up a lot I would be into that for story purposes.

Ghost Bear’s look is what happens when artists and writers who typically do super-hero books move into a different genre, like GI Joe. They tend to put characters in costumes rather that clothes or uniforms. While sometimes it results in a cool look, it just isn’t appropriate for the genre. I like the concept of Ghost Bear, but his look needs to be tempered with a little reality.
