G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #145 - Shipwreck (Post-RAH)

I think I have a Sonic Week planned eventually, so we'll get to that one.

Excellent! Can’t wait!

And since I never had the original Lamprey, I just realized that the file cards are quite different. Sonic Fighter Lamprey was a heavily armed aquatic assault trooper. Loved that guy so much!

Aside from the Water Moccasin, or the Night Landing, did they have a smaller boat? A Devilfish sized one? I think later on in the line, probably in the 90s.
Huge yes to Lamprey. I don't know why, but I never thought of him as an army builder. Maybe because he doesn't have -Viper after his name. Maybe because his design is so cool. Maybe because I saw the Hydrofoil as a beast of a unit and never thought about needing more than one.

To the question there was the Hydro-Sled in '86 which was pretty small.

And then in '90 you had the Piranha which would be bigger than you'd think.

I didn't either, maybe because of Copperhead. I probably was in the head that vehicle drivers were individuals.

Ah yes! I did forget about that one, but just confirmed I do have it on my list for the vehicle one-a-day thread at least.

Ah ha, that is the one I was thinking of, thank you!

Day 141b - General Hawk - (RAH) (1/31/26)

Bringing RAH week to an end (there will be more in a few weeks!) with the 1991 version of G.I. Joe's commander, General Hawk! It's day 141, but Hawk is our 175th figure of the thread!

Loving the choices this week. Absolutely want a Classified figure of Lamprey. I loved looking at the old GI Joe catalogs. So many cool figures, but I never got a lot of them. I was so thrilled when Lamprey got rereleased as a Sonic Fighter.

I’d love to get updated figures of both the original Lamprey and the Sonic Fighters Lamprey!

I have this figure! I don’t know how, as I never bought it, it must have been thrown in with a lot of loose figures I picked up in the last 15 years. I had no idea it was a Lamprey! It’s mostly broken, so restoring it would not be as easy as replacing it, but since it wasn’t mine to begin with, I have no attachment or urgency to do so. But thanks for solving a mystery for me!

OK we all know that that’s the most badass General Hawk. I would very much like Classified to give me a version that FINALLY looks like the card art, with maybe a “toy version” helmet as well since you know that this guy will be a Deluxe.

But, like: YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

I love this figure so much.

ALSO! If they gave him the big honkin’ jet pack from the card art, they could reuse that and the grenade gear for Super Sonic Fighters Major Bludd!!

Yes to Lampreys and Hawk. However I am fine with just the original colour scheme for the Lampreys and don't need the second version colours.

Hawk is not a good look in my books, but I am a day one ARAH kid so by the time this version of Hawk came out I was done with GI Joe. I do like the rocket pack, but the rest is kind of "meh" for me personally. Like I said the I would still pick him up if made.

You have great taste, Ace! Agreed that the card art for this General Hawk is his coolest look. And you
are right that the jet pack could be reused for Sonic Fighters Major Bludd, who was my main Bludd figure!

Nice call on the Piranha! That was one of my favorite Cobra vehicles. Normally, I never got a vehicle if it didn’t have a cool pilot, but I got Piranha based on the strength of the vehicle alone (and the Earthquake because we just had an earthquake when I found the vehicle, and it seemed like fate).
