The Irishman
Damnit man, that's what I was referring to!We're going to be living in the sequel soon.
When I said "it's a parable for our times" I wasn't kidding.

Eh, I haven't seen it but I know how it ends. but yeah, the sequel for me is what I would HOPE will play out sometime in the next few years. The follow-up was set in America.... total twist!I thought so but I wasn't sure if you'd seen the film yet. While a sequel is extremely unlikely, continuing the story in the 1950's is possible. Rami Malek plays Lt. Colonel Douglas McGlashan Kelley and there's a lot more to his story than what we see in the movie.
But yeah. We might see military tribunals set up in our lifetime. A civilian court wouldn't get the job done.
He's just gonna go Ha! Hai! Hyaa! And sometimes Unf.Think they look pretty good. I'm sure they're basing Link off the newer games, but I'd still love to see him don his cap at some point. My biggest question is if they'll have him speak or not. Would feel strange to me. Then again, no stranger than Chris Pratt's voice coming out of Mario, I suppose.
All Koroks will be played by John Leguizamo. YA HA HA!He's just gonna go Ha! Hai! Hyaa! And sometimes Unf.
So torn on this one. Doesn't look bad, per se, but I don't know if it looks good, either. Definitely looks a little.... cheap? Too clean resolution-wise? Don't get me wrong- I'm totally okay with them taking a few little liberties with the story to make the necessary changes to fit the screen- in fact, I welcome things that distinguish an adaptation and give it its own unique identity, as long as the general message and spirit of the game is intact. I worry they may have undone the very dream-like, sad, solemn feel of the game. I get how it may not be entirely palatable or interesting on the big screen, but we've certainly had surrealist horror before. I'm still cautiously optimistic, but I'm keeping the expectations low. Still, as imperfect as that first movie was, you could tell Cristophe Gans had a lot of love for the franchise, and it's clear he's still passionate about it, so that's gotta count for something.
