Yep, everything on Walmart was sold out when I loaded the page at 9:55am. Guess I should have expected them to go up an hour early and all sell out. Guardian was one of 2 figures I was in for today, huge bummer.

The lack of wired cape is such a frustrating cost cut. That shiny, rigid cape material only works if you have a wire, otherwise it’s infinitely worse than the soft plastic capes we used to get. The new cape/cowl were the main reasons I got that figure…guess I’ll try and mod it also.

That’s the first proper Superman costume IMO. Lighter blue like mid 2000s Hush, no black outline around the emblem, etc. Stinks that he’s got a Jokerized head. The head and hand swaps are easy, but that neck piece is such a pain.

Every time I see more platinums I just groan. They really stepped it up a notch by being an extra pain in the ass with Steve Trevor and Extant. Just stomached $45 shipped for Trevor. A bit unrelated but my Walmart still has 3 Jade figures if anyone is still looking.

It does look really good, but I passed myself since I’m sure eBay will be full of unwanted Gdzillas. Probably the same cost to pay $30-$40 for a custom WW head sculpt without the hassle of selling old junk.
