Have you tried UV resin? I've done that with softer plastic like the strap on NECA toon Casey's bag. It broke, so I put a few dabs of UV resin in the area, held the piece in place and hit it with a UV flashlight. Now it's more of a plastic bond, not just some random adhesive.

I believe the USB port is on the bottom. It's pointed out in the video I posted. I don't think they included a USB cable, just the port for that option if people wanted it.
