    General Marvel Legends

It makes sense to me only in this respect: they've totally checked out and don't really give a shit about brand synergy or consumer experience within this particular segment.

    General Marvel Legends

Hmm ... what else can we pivot to? Baby products! It isn't as if the birth rate is taking a nose dive or anything.

    General Marvel Legends

Dunno if this is the right thread for this, but haven't seen it discussed on the board yet and figured people would have thoughts: https://www.startribune.com/north-star-insider-target-plan-to-create-the-most-delightful-experience-in-retail/601592670 Key takeaway is Target is pivoting away from...

    One A Day 2.0: Day #320 - Magma

Eventually, I'd really like them to give this a shot with the Human Torch, too. The translucent look just isn't reflective of the art.

    One A Day 2.0: Day #320 - Magma

Hell yes! Approaching a top ten want since Hasbro's started cranking out her teammates. Top image, plus a depowered Amara Aquila in her training uniform, even just as a pack-in head to pop on a (hopefully forthcoming) female training uniform body that can be shared between her, Rahne, Karma...

    One A Day 2.0: Day #320 - Magma

    These sum it up.

    Mattel DC Figures

There was a plush Lockheed a few years ago that I picked up, just on principle: He hangs out on the back of my couch.
  8. Ultra Seven

    Mattel DC Figures

She looks like she collects Squishmallows and has to politely ignore constant solicitous messages in her Twitch chat.
  9. Ultra Seven

    General Marvel Legends

It is genuinely bizarre to me that a classic, red and blue costume Spider-Man isn't literally always available.

    Marvel Toys on Sale

Feral's currently twenty-three dollars and change on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Comics-Inspired-Collectible-Character-Sized-Accessory/dp/B0DK7NGTZJ. Not much, but psychologically, I just feel better about paying < $25 for Marvel Legends.

    One A Day 2.0: Day #320 - Magma

Pass -- while there's no doubt the figure would look badass, I have finite space/ funds for giant characters, and if I were to make room for a huge Thor villain, I'd prefer Mangog. Now silver age Marvel monsters? Those I'd be unable to pass up, regardless of price or scale.
  12. Ultra Seven

    Mattel DC Figures

Ah, but see they, these space cops only target dangerous aliens who are a threat to the security of ... I hear it now.

Iron Man Heroes and Allies Poll

Pleasantly surprised to see Vanguard doing as well as he is.

Iron Man Heroes and Allies Poll

Black Goliath, Hellcat, Stingray, and ... ... Jack of Hearts.
  15. Ultra Seven

    Iron Man Adversaries Poll

I'd love all of these, but I would opt for Blizzard, Crimson Dynamo, Melter, and Living Laser first.
  16. Ultra Seven

    One A Day 2.0: Day #320 - Magma

Hell yes to the Infinity Gauntlet-era look. She's one of my absolute favorite Avengers villains. Given the name recognizability, I think she'd be a solid pick for a mini-comic wave, likely packed with "Avengers" #318 (totally my favorite cover for the character). Dunno who I'd pair her with for...

    One A Day 2.0: Day #320 - Magma

Since no one else has posted it yet, this is where my head defaults whenever Plantman is mentioned:
  18. Ultra Seven

    One A Day 2.0: Day #320 - Magma

Hell yeah to a bronze age-y Plantman. Exact kind of character I like to have hanging out in the back of my villain shelves. Like the Orb. Characters like him are what makes this line my favorite.
  19. Ultra Seven

    General Toy Nostalgia

The Mezco Doc Savage makes me REALLY want someone to take a crack at his Fabulous Five: Preferably with multiple heads to cover multiple covers/ eras.
  20. Ultra Seven

    One A Day 2.0: Day #320 - Magma

On principle, yes, since he's a pre-1990 Marvel hero. In practice, I have no idea where the hell I'd display him. Eventually I'll end up assembling an "oddballs of the Marvel Universe" shelf with characters like him or Deathlok that don't naturally work on any character/ title's shelf.

    General Toy Nostalgia

Now how can any figure with a removable panel and bionic parts be disappointing? Wow, that is another all-time classic! One of the great playsets. Endlessly, endlessly fun. On the Bionic Man train, anyone remember Pulsar, Mattel's gross, off-putting, badass Steve Austin rip-off?
  22. Ultra Seven

    General Toy Nostalgia

Fuck yeah! This is one of my top five toy holy grails. There's a dude who sells at local toy shows who has one, and I've been seeing it at his booth for like a year ... I keep promising myself that if work picks up just a bit more, he'll be mine!

The Top Heroes Poll - THE RESULTS ARE IN!

Hellstrom and Hellcat set feels like a total no-brainer to me.
  24. Ultra Seven

    Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

This is my concern as well. To the Defenders point specifically, without the BAF wave model, there is a snowball's chance in hell that say, the Tanya Belinski version of Red Guardian ever gets a figure.
  25. Ultra Seven

    Mattel DC Figures

Line-killer wave to get all of these weirdos at once, but these five would actually be awesome picks for Mattel. Each of them contributes to a team/ subtheme (Suicide Squad, Outsiders, Freedom Fighters, Shadowpact), and each of them has a cool, toyetic look.
