    Super 7 Ultimates Thread

We've sort of crossed streams here, but I was originally speaking about how a toyline doesn't need to have had a toyline in the past that adult collectors collected as kids to be successful. I also think there are plenty of people who collect IPs and will buy action figures of a thing they like...

    Marvel Legends Gamerverse

Got my Juggernaut in today. The only other one I own is the Aliexpress KO that uses a mix-mash of Juggernaut parts and Hulk parts, so it already has the butterflies. I thought this one would be an easy replacement but now I'm not so sure. I love how big the Gamerverse figure is, and the finish...

I'm not sure if clearance or even peg warming necessarily indicates a figure or line has failed. It may often be a sign, but even if a company over estimated demand, or had to meet a unit quota at a factory, the line may have still been profitable, to an extent. The high bar of demand for NECA...

I would say there is at least sales potential, if not actual significant sales, going to people who aren't toy collectors in the sense that we are—finger on the pulse, large collections, on forums, etc., so to say. GameStop's store real estate is about 1/4 action figures, I just saw the SHF LoTR...

I personally would think a cartoon DnD line would sell more than every IP in the "Nacelle-a-verse", but that's just a hunch. So many things become figures these days. Apparently Target and other big box retailers thought it was a good enough idea to buy a bunch of stock. And I suppose enough...

    Super 7 Ultimates Thread

DnD started its modern Renaissance probably in the late 00's early 2010's when elder millennial hipsters started rediscovering it and added to the ranks of the core group of ever-nerds who were still playing on the regular. I think 4th edition spiked a little interest, but it probably just...

    Super 7 Ultimates Thread

With Hasbro's line... they weren't good figures. With Super7's line... Super7 had tanked their rep to the point that I think by the time these were out, people were (rightly) skeptical of the company and their product and the price and whether or not they'd actually finish the team. And, playing...

Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

I have a current listing for a bundle of two rare-ish figures. Total bundle is ~$40-50 cheaper than they retailed for. Guy kept lowballing me, best I'd offer was $5 off. Then I went and searched the sold listings and saw how much they were going for individually, and raised my Buy it Now price...

Nacelle Toys Biker Mice From Mars

I saw some ReAction-esque figures at the Nacelle booth at SDCC this year. My first thought was Brian Volk-Weiss is out to eat Brian Flynn's lunch. However, if I'm remembering correctly, they were like $7-$8 or some such. Not a 5POA guy, but I would have grabbed a couple of ReActions for...

    NECA 2012 Turtles

Yeah, each generation kind of rejects the culture of the generation that directly preceded them, while resurrecting aspects of the culture that preceded the one they are rejecting. Elder millennials and young Gen X got into new-60's culture in the 90's. Bell bottoms/flared jeans came back...

    Hasbro Made-to-Order Figures

Being able to pay later for preorders will always lock in more sales, I think. I personally prefer it, of course. I don't have too many "dream projects" that I feel called to be an investor in and take "ownership" of. 1-2 years is a long time to order ahead, especially for big ticket items.

    NECA 2012 Turtles

Thinking back on my own childhood, which was filled with figures for near as long as I could remember... not many other kids played with or collected them past 1st or 2nd grade. I was born in '84. I remember wanting to play with figures with a neighbor in like 2nd grade, and he said something...

    Hasbro Made-to-Order Figures

And thanks, Trump voters, for making it all possible. $45 extra, jeez. I was hoping to grab an extra if possible, but there's only so much fuel in the tank for these things these days.

    X-Men '97

Ooo hooo hooo, give me that '97 X-Factor lineup. And X-Force costume Sunspot. You got your Sabertooth there, Misfit. I don't want a lot of slots spent on random time travel variants of Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto, etc.... but that seems like it's going to be a given.

Mezco 1:12 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Haha, I think I'm the only guy on the planet who likes their Shredder, and now probably the only guy who likes this Foot Soldier as well. The cowl could be better conceived, though. But I love the toy inspired snouty pull around the bottom of the mask. Will likely pass, however. The NECA...

    Ghostbusters General Thread

Okay, Ghostbusters News has the scoop. $135 for the new Samhain. They state he comes with new "heads", plural, and the body has been slightly revised. They have pics of the updated display at NYCC that show him off. He's holding a different Slimer than the Venkman/Janine ones. I wonder if that...

    Ghostbusters General Thread

I got you, cmoney. It's not that it's just a re-release, it is that it's what I guess could be called Venn diagramming the releases, which is something I personally loathe. Meaning to complete a collection, you will need to purchase dupes of the same thing, because there is overlap amongst the...

Apparently he's glow in the dark, available in limited quantities Halloween weekend. I wonder if he's an in stock sale. I didn't get the two pack, might be tempted with this. But I am frustrated on behalf of people who did get the two pack. No price mentioned, either. Nor, unfortunately...

    X-Men '97

$120 seems reasonable, with free shipping, especially. Considering that breaks down to about $10 more than the recent MAFEX Magneto rerelease at BBTS. And no way MAFEX is doing a 12 inch figure. The articulation might be slicker with Medicom but I think I'd prefer scale over range for this...

    X-Men '97

I can't help but hear his voice monologuing when I look at this picture. That X-Men cartoon really did perma-cast certain characters for me. Anyhow, this figure looks wonderful and a great center for the display. I've yet to unbox my vintage card Apocalypse (I'm a slow opener, you see.) But...
