Logically I know this is impossible, but this is why that one line from Sons of Anarchy is one of my favorite single line deliveries in TV History, Tommy Flanagan's character saying "I was raised Catholic, everything's a worry for me." My brain will invent shit to be guilty about.

Inversely, Inhumanoids was probably my "I think I like being scared?" brain kicking in, really inspired a lifelong love of cool horror stories. (Meanwhile Gremlins scared the living shit out of me)

That would've been possible two years ago, but I picked up work for a sanctuary city and do pop into City Hall a few times a week now on top of the book stuff and my writing/consulting work. I could just do the consulting stuff from anywhere (my funniest memory of living in Ireland is running...

I swear my adulthood love of body horror, cosmic horror, and "Weird Nightmare Shit Lives Underground" all comes from that show.

Inhumanoids is my dream "LET ME WRITE THE NEW VERSION" IP. I never aspire to work on any IPs I don't own, but goddamn, I'd give up my left nut to write that reboot. Also my #1 show for wanting to go back in time and see how much blow toy executives were shoving up their noses when creating the...

Yeah, I love travel when I'm there, I love new cities, they become a part of my lexicon for writing, it's great. Getting to the airport? Basically one rough bump in the road from vomiting the whole time. (I'm even fine ON the plane It's hauling my biological self there.) So UPDATE: Partner...

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

I really feel like if I turn my back on this line for a day I miss something. Ice, Zatanna, and Cosmic Boy were the highlights for me from the presentation. Really hoping it's not a struggle to get any of them, but I feel like it's either feast or famine with this line - either they languish or...

The sad part is I'm fighting that part of my brain that says "just stay home and get more work done on the house, it's a terrible time to be traveling.." Trying to stuff that intrusive thought into a locker like an 80s movie.

Here to grump: Supposed to be going to Scotland Sunday night. I don't like flying so I don't travel much--I like to BE new places but GETTING to new places gives me wicked anxiety. Just got notification from the airline: Severe weather expected and with air traffic controllers and TSA...

t's funny how tough it is to get him in there, because I tried Hawk and Snake Eyes and they both slipped in so much easier. Kinda driving (heh) me nuts taht Crankcase is the one who doesn't fit well! I do love the set though, otherwise.

I'm a full-time writer and I live with a librarian. If they make a library-based line of figures I won't just buy them, I will get SPOUSAL APPROVAL for the purchases. That's a very cool idea.

Yeah, I'm not putting good odds on them shipping Stratos. For better or for worse I'm not stressing out about this line the way I am a few others, so I'll grumble and be pissed off but not gutted if they Walmart this again. Stratos is my old favorite, though - I even ordered two because I want...

    U.S. Politics

Yeah, that's a solid take. I do appreciate the "that's already paid for" thing cos I think that's what a lot of the comedians involved were probably thinking - how much is a ration of shit worth? And if the US is on the verge of the end of free speech, make your bag and run. Integrity doesn't...

    G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Poll - #37 - Night Adder (Rise of Cobra)

They really could just make the same figure with multiple heads. Dr. Winter could come with a Baroness head since she was constantly under cover in labs along with any number of other civilians from the cartoon and comics.

Scaling back a bit but took a flyer on Teela, still trying to find the one I'm truly happy with on her. All the villains look great but I think I'll wait on preordering, though Anti-Eternia He-Man looks spectacular, and they haven't bombed on a Mer-Man yet. Might change my mind on Mantenna but...

    Masters of the Universe: Origins

I really like the 200X designs but I am realizing a bunch of house repairs this year really crushed me. I've been faithfully preordering Origins since wave 3 and I'm holding off on starting another branching off of the line. They're cool, but I think I'm tapping the brakes for now.

So MAGA's cool with building a Qatari airbase in Idaho, huh? “The Qatar air force is establishing a pilot and maintenance training program for its new F-15QA fighter jets at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho as part of a long-term agreement with the U.S. Air Force. The program involves...

I truly hope they make Golobulus using the engineering they used for the scorpion tail with interlocking parts instead of just a rubber tale. Bendable parts have come a long way, but that scorpion tail is so much better than, say, Dragon Man's or even the tentacles on Shuma-Gorath.

Mortal Kombat Klassic figures by McFarlane Toys

It's crazy how bare bones these figure are, especially compared to some other equally priced fighting game figures out right now. I wasn't impressed by the first few enough to go deep into the line. I'll cave and order Raiden I think, but I'm really not impressed by these at all.

Just cracked open the AWE Striker. They really love to go nuts with the vehicles, huh? Love the level of detail on this. Just got Dash Rendar. I've never been a huge fan of the character but I don't think they could have made him any cooler than they did - he's really fun to pose, not too bulky or clunky... he ABSOLUTELY looks like Jaime Lannister though, the actor deserves some kind of royalties or something...
