I got the entire wave case with both versions of Sludge, Unicron, Hot Rod, Fort Max,another Prime, an Insecticon, Sharkticon & Blitzwing from Nerdzoic this week. Built them all on Thursday and I have to say it's great having all the Dinobots in bot mode.

Stopped at the local Walmart that has the Hasbro/Mattel display on my home from bringing some stuff to storage this afternoon & found 4 Desert Scorpions on the display. I grabbed 2 of them.

Oh, it definitely is. The initial Shredder tracking number I got was for an entirely different person's order. I then had a mysterious NECA number show up in my FedEx tracking that turned to ACTUALLY be my Shredder. Maybe they need to stop printing labels ahead of time if their warehouse staff...

I also got an email from NECA about the rest of my order shipping, but the tracking number with USPS said it was delivered on 10/8. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what shows up, and when. Mikey came from the NECA store order USPS, Shredder came from NECA-a Walmart order via FedEx.

They did Sectaurs and those robots in an "updated" vintage style, but then ACTUALLY updated the Biker Mice, which was such an odd choice. I loved the Sectaurs as a child, and wanted to get the updated figures, but even seeing some on clearance at Walmart for $8, I couldn't do it.

I mean, I don't think NECA never explicitly SAID their 4 figures and vintage repaints were going to be the start of something more. I thought someone said at one of the cons, or interviews it was implied they did the modern update versions first, because they planned on the updated vintage toy...

They had a small, but loyal fanbase back in the early days (as you and I both know from their old forums), but those lines weren't major money makers. They found something that worked, and found people who were willing to jump through those hoops, so more power to them. It's just not for everyone.
