Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

I'm afraid that, since they're out of their original packaging, they won't go for quite as much. But that one where you made the umlaut out of corn could still go for a pretty penny- that was impressive, especially since you hadn't eaten corn all week!

    Star Wars Black Series

I guess if you wanna get technical, that means the Battle Droid is just Winnie the Pooh'ing it up, walking around with no pants on, letting those skinny little bits hang out. I mean, credit where it's due, getting a slightly new deco on the Battle Droid is nice. The Scout Trooper is just the...

    Star Wars Black Series

Ehhhh. I'm back to not feeling them. A one-off was cute, but 3 is trying to make it a thing. I don't see them selling well for anything for to army build, which would probably mean throwing away the shirt. So I don't want Hasbro see a failed gimmick and think it means more than it does.

    Jakks Pacific Simpsons

Not until July of 2027. If they really are struggling like many think, I doubt they'd be able to hold on until then. But certainly it would provide a nice boost if it gets to that point.

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

That turnaround time is cray. The McFarlane track record of having things out on shelf before even an official announcement/pre-order remains true! Of the 3, I think I'd go for Robin above all, but I wish he came with a bo staff or, you know, anything.

    Star Wars Black Series

Right? I grabbed the Archive Hoth Luke a couple years back when it came out, and figured they surely would've fixed the wrists by then, but nope. Really is one of the more baffling decisions they've made; not like they're going for accuracy or anything- he bends his wrists in this costume in the...

    X-Men '97

I wonder if Gambit's inevitable return will have him in something akin to his Age of Apocalypse getup, in which case we can add yet another fancy neckwear piece to the mix.

    NECA - General Thread

Looks like I'm safe from having to try for the exclusives. I don't mean to yuck anyone's yum, but that Batman isn't for me either. Looks like they kinda tried to do an Arkham Batman head, but decided to make the body more comic-based somewhere along the line. Alright, then! May all who want him...

Those look great! By that same logic, it could be worth it to check eBay or Mercari for an extra head. I've picked up a few fodder pieces over the years- it's how I got Headpool without buying a Logan I wasn't interested in. Just a quick, cursory glance, and there's a couple Hughverine heads for...

    Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

Riiiight. I think they did something similar for the Paradox head that Cassandra came with, suggesting the Matt Murdock body. On one hand- it's kinda nice that Hasbro has that communication with fans, suggesting certain things to elevate the display or make use of spare accessories. On the other...

    NECA - General Thread

Didn't they do something similar last year? Or am I thinking of another company? Someone put up Con pre-orders like 2-3 months early, sight unseen. I don't know what's more annoying- the fact that they do it, or the fact that they'll still undoubtedly sell out, thus making them more likely to do...

    Star Wars Black Series

Agreed. Is it bad that I kinda want someone to die? Obviously, I don't want death just for the sake of death- it has to mean something. But after seeing Rogue One and Andor, where there are actual stakes and tension, it's changed my perception. Not everything has to be RO or Andor, of course- I...

I can't remember who it was- Robo, maybe- but I was watching one review where they called out that same problem, but then solved it by popping on the unmasked head that the first yellow Wolvie came with. On one hand, the figure should definitely come with it, especially given how many unmasked...

Oh boy! They said if I hit a Baker's Dozen on my punch card then I get something for free. Depends on if you're willing to do a little painting, or want it to come pre-painted. Forgive me, I'm not familiar enough with Blade to know exactly what kind of sword he has, but I feel like, just going...

    Star Wars Black Series

Looks like Maul: Shadow Lord was renewed for a season 2. Way to spoil your own show, Disney! Now there's no stakes! 🤪 Kidding, of course. The animated shows seem to always do pretty well in terms of seasons. Seems like they can churn them out relatively easily. But at least we know there'll...

Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

I'd echo what Schizm said. Of the handful or so issues I've had with ebay, they often side with the customer at first, like a kneejerk reaction, but I've always appealed it, provided the evidence, and they ended up siding with me. Stick to ebay messaging as much as you can; it's not that they...

    Jakks Pacific Simpsons

It wasn't much. They showed off King Size Homer (in the muumuu), and addressed Fly Bart as coming to GameStop later this year. Also showed off a Lard Lad plush. They apparently acknowledged the distribution issues as a "snafu" and said they had other product planned, but weren't allowed to show...

I wasn't gonna go for Cowboypool, but after seeing a couple reviews, I think I'm going for him for the same reason a lot of folks are going for brown suit Wolverine- he just looks cool and fun. The twirly effect on the pistol is just so fun and whimsical, and as a southern boy myself, I'll...

    General Marvel Legends

I personally think they're pretty good, but I do agree about the gums. I had my pick of a few Wolvies, and I went with the one with the least amount of excess gums. Facial hair wasn't terrible, but there was one that was definitely a little too thick. Came across more as a sort of Sharpie beard...

Found the latest wave of the 3.75" figures at Five Below, minus Jimbo. Nice to know there's at least still product out there. From the sound of things from WonderCon, the line still has life in it. Gonna be interesting to see how things go from here.

Good question. Looks like just a plain Deadpool body. So maybe just another Deadpool? Wasn't there a purple one? Maybe a battle damaged one to go with the shirtless Wolvie? Or maybe they're just using a basic Deadpool silhouette because if it's another member of the corps, it would give it away...

The story in question: I guess the suited Wolverine looking one could always be Wolverinepool; Hot Toys just showed off their version.
