General Marvel Legends

I brought Snapshot Spider-Man home after waiting patiently for one within my budget. He was at the top of what I wanted to pay but way less than what I typically see him for.

The bad news is that his left arm broke off at the bicep with light handling. The good news is that I was able to fix it with a small screw which was the same size as the peg and I'm fairly certain it is now stronger than it originally was.

I think my only Toybiz wants now are Spider-Hulk and Dragon Man.

My Snapshot Spidey broke in that exact same spot when I got him 20+ years ago. Still always loved him, he was my default Spider-Man for a long time.

I was surprised how easy the fix was. That shoulder joint has a lot of plastic between the peg and the disk hinge so there was plenty of room for the small screw to go up into. It worked really slick.

It's always an awesome feeling when you have the gumption to attempt a repair and it goes well the first time. Congrats!

Romita Sr Mantis is definitely awesome.

One of my favorite things I own is a full body Romia Sr Black Panther sketch.
How did you get that? I once dragged my buddy to a Romita signing even though my friend was not into comics and had no idea who he was, but I'm certain your story is better.

Oh... I wish my story was better. Never met Romita Sr in real life, unfortunately. I was at a show more than 20 years ago now, talking to a dealer and saying I had put together a cillection of original comic art featuring Black Panther and his eyes lit up and he said 'really?' and then he disappeared for a second and then came out with the sketch. I told him I loved it and was jealous and he said that it should be with a real fan and he sold it to me. It was way cheaper than thought it would be.

When I was a kid Romita Sr. did a signing at my local comic shop, Flying Colors Comics, and the line was around the block. Lucky for me the owner of the shop is a longtime family friend and he let my Dad and me in to the store before they opened to chat with the legendary artist. He was very kind, warm and generous, a true inspiration for a young aspiring comic artist. My Dad got a head sketch of Green Goblin and I got one of my then-current favorite, Wolverine. I treasured that sketch for years. Unfortunately when I was 12 we moved and the sketch disappeared. I still lament it's loss 30-something years later, but I'll always have the memories.

So ah - does Hypno Hustler have to way of holding the microphone? Is that supposed to go... somewhere?
