Of all the sets listed, I would have expected GA Cap and Bucky to be the easiest sell for Hasbro.
Agreed.
And Hasbro is so inept at the cross-promotion. Like, the stick up their ass about mixing comic and movie properties is just stupid. They should cross-promote, not isolate.
I bring this up here because GA Cap and Bucky would be great to roll out around Independence Day.
The fact that they haven't figured out that they can use Halloween to sell mystic/horror characters is mind-boggling.
At least the Star Wars team is coming around with the Christmas versions in Black Series. Maybe it'll rub off on the Marvel team.

Said something similar earlier about not using this summer's FF movie to put out desired figures from the FF comics. The face of the product guys are usually affable and they work for a big corporation but many of Hasbro's decisions just seem inexplicable.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Dracula, Werewolf By Night, Frankenstein's Monster and Living Mummy could be evergreen characters for ML. Change the paint scheme, add a new head sculpt and re-sell them the next year. Sell them individually at big box stores and put them in the Halloween sections. Partner with Hot Topic and Spirit Halloween.
Universal monster collectors would be all over this. The four characters I mentioned are really just riffs on the classic films, and Universal collectors buy anything and everything that resembles these icons. Horror collectors would "bite".
Add in other characters like Manphibian and Lilith Drake.
Add in Simon Garth and any zombified Marvel character.
Add in Agatha Harkness and other witches.
Add in S'ym and other demons.
Add in any monstrous looking characters that fit the Halloween theme - Gargoyle, Venom, etc.
If Star Wars can do Reindeer Stormtroopers and Cupid Ewoks at Target and Wally, Marvel could certainly do classic Colan inspired Dracula.
