To play the "who gets it in first game", which I am occasionally guilty of.

Impatience, to be frank. Ideally I’d much rather order from BBTS and support them as I have in years gone by. But I admit the anticipation gets to me, and if Amazon gets and ships them first, and gets them to me in two days no less, well, guilty. Plus, Prime member so shipping is free for me.
 
I have bought so much from BBTS over the years. Probably 10s of thousands of dollars worth so I don't mind cancelling something every now and then if it's something I've really been looking forward to.

I hedge my bets on who gets it first, then cancel superfluous orders (if I remember in time).

I usually order from multiple online shops because sometimes it’s a real race against the clock to find exclusives. (Or even general releases for that matter) And even though I pretty much live on my phone, I’m still human and I do lose track of time. So if I’m hunting down a McFarlane figure for example, I’ll turn over every rock and loose floorboard until I find what I’m looking for. Even if I have to eventually get what I want from overseas

Found Wolverine and Samurai in store for £61 but the Amazon preorder was £50 so I’m holding and being patient in order to be responsible, and dearly hoping the set I receive doesn’t have any defects or paint issues.

I also decided to cancel Juggernaut since I’m wary of whether it will really be much of an improvement on the bootleg figure with Hulk articulation and more accessories that I already have.

I’d like to be able to get it all, but it’s just too much too fast to justify the spending.

Cap/Venom two pack arrived yesterday. I love that every time I get a new Cap I'm like "Ah yes, the perfect Cap. I'll never need another one!" and then another one comes along 6 months later that's an upgrade. :LOL: This is the best one yet!

And Venom is really growing on me, I actually love the blue?

Is the shield included with Cap the smaller one, though ?
If so, I find it hilarious that we’ve gotten 3 really great Caps (20th, Secret Wars, and Gamerverse) but STILL haven’t gotten a plain larger upgraded shield (20th has holes for effects, SW is “broken/battle damaged”, and GV is the old smaller shield).
 
Got Wolverine and Silver Samurai yesterday from Pulse. Really fun set! Love that they both come with effects (and Samurai gets two).

Wolverine is such fun to pose. Definitely big, but I love the muscular build and how his articulation in the neck, abs, and ankles allow him to get into a deeper crouching stance.

I typically put in pre-orders at Amazon since they usually get stuff early AND also update release dates if they do - Walmart has the new X-Men 97 wave but they won't change the release date of Nov 1st so we wait... I also prefer Walmart and Target because I have 90 and 120 days to return in case of sales, whereas Amazon is 30 days - and refuses to price match. So I buy again and again and return.

It's not like I'm not at Target plenty.
 
Got my Juggernaut in today. The only other one I own is the Aliexpress KO that uses a mix-mash of Juggernaut parts and Hulk parts, so it already has the butterflies. I thought this one would be an easy replacement but now I'm not so sure. I love how big the Gamerverse figure is, and the finish is really nice, but he doesn't pose up as well as the KO - he looks less natural and dynamic, and the hands on mine pop off pretty easy while posing. If I do keep him, I might white out his pupils and put a wash on his teeth to make him look more menacing. The size though... he is impressive. Surprised to see they painted the lunulae on his nails.
 
RE: Buying things ASAP/ordering from multiple outlets, personally I do this just in case I get a dud. I like to open stuff I receive within a week and check them out. The worst is not only missing the return window but realizing the thing you bought is OOS everywhere. Also it's important to get them early so I can buy backups of toys that I find are worth it.

Appreciate this post a lot, thanks, maybe I’ll give Juggernaut a go if he ends up on sale at some point but for now I’m happy I cancelled the preorder
