Hasbro possibly doing Tron?

Because why are we making 3.75" in the year of our lord 2025?
Lots of companies are failing at it nowadays but it's still the overall best scale for the sweet spot of sculpting detail and articulation in figures and reasonably-sized and detailed/playable vehicles and playsets. 6in scale offers a drastic paucity of support for such things especially compared to how much 18th stuff already exists for 18th collectors to use with new stuff. All those reasons are why the scale still sells despite currently being in the rotten spot for a company's economic gain.

Official reveal on Thursday.
3.75 is confirmed.
Offering will be small at first.

All confirmed by Steve Evans on Reddit and Instagram.

Do we have a guess on the offering?
Nothing concrete outside of 3.75”.
And they’re not doing anything outside of the first two films for now.

If I have to guess, they’ll start out with Legacy 3.75” and then go with the original. But that is just a guess on my part.

There’s also rumors of a Haslab, allegedly they focus tested three different ideas for one. What those are, I’m not sure.
But I’d love a Recognizer or a Light Runner.

$275 for five 3.75" figures and two lightbikes sounds way out of control. I wound understand that price for 6" figures, though. You're basically paying a huge premium for a light up base.

260 bucks for THAT?

And they need 10k backers?!?

Never going to happen. No way in hell. That they're even doing figures is surprising. They could barely make Ghostbusters work, and that is vastly more popular and a part of the zeitgeist--certainly more so than Tron.

I predict a one and done like Dungeons and Dragons and Starting Lineup and this crowd fund will barely get a fraction of what they need.

Or maybe I severely underestimate Tron's appeal.

They need to crowdfund 5 O-ring G.I. Joe scale figures and a pair of snap together bikes?

I have met exactly one person in my life that was excited for anything remotely Tron, and no I don't know Trent Reznor. I don't know who's more out of touch, Hasbro or the Tron fans that think this is necessary or doable. Maybe they show up, but this would likely have been better as a Made-to-Order.

Welp. There goes that. Not that I ever expected a super deep, all-encompassing line, but it would be sad to see this line get derezzed before it even gets up and going.
