Marvel Legends Gamerverse

So Storm Collectibles Morrigan was available as a BBTS DotD, so I impulse bought it, not without checking to see the scale, because I want her to fit in with Jada Street Fighter and Marve Legends Gamerverse. BBTS lists her as 1:12 scale, so I bit. She arrived yesterday and is certainly not 1:12, more like 1:!0. She towers over 6" figures. I am disappoint.

Storm really needs to stop calling that line 1:12. I don't know how they ever arrived at the numbers they have because they are certainly not what they say they are. They basically admitted as much by starting their Arena line. At this point, it's just false advertising.

And I definitely fell for it. Even with a big discount, it wasn't cheap at $73. I was totally misled by the listing. I don't really want to ask BBTS for a refund, as they're just posting what information Storm provides. But I feel duped.

I think you're within your right to at least inquire about returning it. They could easily list the actual product dimensions along with the 1/12 label, but choose not to. And as the exclusive retail partner of Storm in the US, they bare a bit more responsibility in this case than they would with other companies. They have never said "No" to me in the past if I had a problem with a product. And if you can provide the character's height as listed by Capcom I would think you'd be golden.

I think it was Storm that had the Soul Calibur figures labeled as 1/12 as well but they are far too big for 1/12 scale. Thats why I never got those. I saw reviews before buying them and they are way too tall.

This was why I didn't dip in until Arena. I saw some of the supposed 1/12 early on and they were scaled more towards McFarlane style figures.

Arena though, so far, is the scale you're looking for. They blend great with Classified, ML, and comparable lines (they're also really fun to mess with).

What are the odds Punisher and Nick are gonna be early too? Just like the XMen and SW stuff?

Probably post this in the mini comic thread too since I have some of those ordered.

So I asked CS if they'd accept a return but won't allow it because I opened the box. They implied that I should have done my own research. Even suggested I gift it or sell it. SOOO Anyone want a Morrigan that's too big to fit with 6" figures?

That sucks and really disappointing since the customer shouldn't be expected to research product dimensions. I'm real surprised they told you that as their customer service is usually terrific. I once emailed them about a Super7 figure that I thought was a piece of shit (The Simpsons - Devil Flanders). I didn't phrase it that way, of course, but I just sent it in the spirit of I wanted to share some feedback because it was really bad. I didn't ask for anything, but they replied to me and basically said "Yeah, we know this figure sucks. We've been getting a lot of negative feedback on Super7 lately. Here's your money back. Keep the figure."

I typically have great CS experiences with BBTS too. I was surprised by their response. I did have another recent request for a replacement part that seemed to be fresh on their mind. They didn't fulfill that, but I was pretty understanding of the situation. However, for this one, I'm a little annoyed that those were the options I was given. I won't feel as bad if I have to cancel POs there when I see them in stock elsewhere, and I'll certainly rethink any impulse purchases from them in the future.

Juggernaut arrived a bit ago.

He's a big honking bastard, super heavy with a great look to him.

But man, the peg for his diaphragm twist feels awful. The joint is WAY too tight and the peg itself feels WAY too soft. There's no way I'm ever actually risking twisting him. Peg feels like it'll twist right in half. Even has a wobble to the upper torso just handling the figure.

The hip joints didn't feel much better out of the box. Maybe improved a bit as the figure comes to cooler room temp and the hips get worked in a bit. But overall the plastic used for those joints don't feel super solid.

I'm having a similar experience. The joints feel really gummy, but he was just sitting out in the heat.

The leg articulation is not great. The hip and knees don't get much range at all. I know he's a big guy, but they can do better.

Still the best Juggernaut Hasbro has made...But held back by some poor design choices

Sculpt and paint are great, though. Just not a lot there in the way of poseability.

I want that 4H Conan/He-Man but it's only sold at conventions. The 4H participate in enough cons in NJ but I hever can get around to them.
I'm a big Mythic Legions fan. Didn't go to SDCC, but some friends did. One of them picked up the RPG paladin/cleric figure there for me. And the Barbarian builder figure. I was hoping for multiples but they were instantly sold out. I can understand the RPG figure being limited, but it was super odd they didn't bring more of the barbarian figure. Anyway, I'm glad they didn't have more of the barbarian. After getting Savage Crucible barbarians in hand and the Icons Conan...the MyL barbarian just isn't very good. His face sculpt just isn't appealing. And something about the figure just feels stiff (kinda typical for the line). Maybe if other barbarian figures didn't exist, it would be more acceptable, but it was rather disappointing for me.

Got in Gargantos yesterday. Holy crap...I love this thing. I haven't been buying too many ML figures lately, but the ones I have have been pretty great. ROM, Dragon Man, and Gargantos are all pretty awesome.
