I remember watching that scene with Blonsky and thinking this was a preview of what Captain America could move like. Also really stuck with me in those early MCU days.
I think they try to prioritize characters wearing practical suits as the CG ones change up until the week of release. There have been some leaks of Cyclops and a few others which were likely reference images for toys and merchandise... which is exactly why the studio is hesitant to provide...
Assuming the Secret Wars Wave 2 Spider-Man ends up being a classic red/blue ASM15 release, and we have at least one more Maximum release to look forward to in the black suit - I'd love to see the RVYs body one more time using the Spider-Man 2 Gamerverse Advanced Suit head. While I was looking...
You're absolutely right. A brand new costume/version should definitely be embraced. My interest in modern comics has completely waned in the past 10 years, so a brand new version of Nightcrawler from a recent mini-series isn't my cup of tea, and that's my bias. My ideal version of "modern"...
Annnd you sent me running to double check my own pre-order. How/why did they cancel your 2099s?
It COULD have been any number of characters in that spot which were low tooling - and I was just looking at the 2 Pack Jessica Drew on my shelves, which is essentially the exact same as the first...
Hopefully we will have a nice little Cyclops renaissance this year between Season 2 of '97 and Doomsday and we get a retro carded Jim Lee costume with a really well done comic head. I love my Animated head on the '97 body, but the separate visor piece is very prone to a couple different warping...
In no way is this my ideal version of Abomination - certainly not classic - but the body is really good so I'm sure this will eventually grow on me.
I wonder if the colors will match enough to be a viable headswap update for the BAF or RAFT release.
Re: the single figure cases - EB Games up in Canada shipped out the Uncanny Nightcrawler of my complete wave order and that's it... definitely the one I was least looking forward to. I guess it's a nice enough figure made of kitbashed parts - just not sure a costume Kurt wore for a mini-series...
I'm just curious if they did anything to improve the should joint which was notoriously prone to getting stuck and tearing off. Otherwise, great for those who missed it or didn't want to pay a higher special release price. I'm happy with the previous release which has more attachment options and...
I know the Diamond version hasn't even been put up for Pre-Order yet - but I'd love to see a non-powered up Astonishing Emma with the double jointed elbows and a soft goods cape. They did it for Doom - do it for this.
