Phicen made one. Does that count?
Huh. I never even heard about this.

Goes to show how little I follow Phicen.

The lizardmen are great. And don’t often get much action figure representation other than Marvel’s Lizard.
The anti-Lizardmen bias in the action figure community is appalling - I appreciate your calling out the need for more, and better, Lizardmen representation and supporting their culture. Especially as we are coming up on Lizardman History Month in November.

Lizardmen are people too. I don't get the hate.

Some of my best friends are Lizardmen!

Hey, I don't think anyone here is anti-Lizardman. It's just the Lizardman government that we have a problem with! When they end their unlawful occupation of Snakemen territory, then we'll be good.

I finally shipped my pile of loot with Jaeger in it.

Uh... this figure is excellent?

So, it definitely has its issues. Both bicep swivels are so stuck that I'm going to have to give him a hot bath tomorrow. I kind of wish he came with instructions, too, because I was too stupid to understand how he could be posed wearing the cape and scabbard. I had to watch a few YouTube videos until someone pointed out that I should remove the scabbard, add the cape, then plug the scabbard into a discreet hole in the cape.

Speaking of which, what's the best way to remove the scabbard from the chest strap? My experience with mushroom pegs on figures usually leads to me forcefully pulling the peg out and permanently warping/ruining the soft plastic it plugs into.

I wish they had a better solution for the pouch at his waist and the scabbard, honestly. I love the ability to move or mix and match his gear, but mushroom pegs are bad.

The good, though. So, wow. I don't want to get too hyperbolic about something I pulled out of the package 25 minutes ago, but this is the best under $70 figure I've purchased in a long time. Probably dating back to NECA's D&D Elkhorn.

He's just fucking cool looking. The quilted armor, the chainmail, the studded boots. A+. The fact that each has its own distinct texture is a great touch (no pun intended). I fully intended to pose him with the crossbow on my D&D shelf, holding down the party's rogue role. He looks so great with the sword that I'm questioning myself.

The best thing about him is how solid he is. With all the shit going on on his upper body, I worried that he'd be a nightmare to pose. It feels to me like they weighted the lower half of the figure to compensate. It's one of those figures that wants to stand. You put him down on a flat surface, and he finds a center of gravity.

Jaeger is so good that I can't wait for Death Dealer. Always possible another competitor enters the fray, but right now, it's between him and Figma Breath of the Wild Link for my figure of the year.

Super glad, and also super apologize, that you like the figure so much. Jaeger is the one I don't have from the 'human' wave, so hopefully he doesn't have the same ankle issues the other figures have (and tend to develop later, I suppose). And yes, mushroom pegs suck. It's one of those few times that I have a complaint about a toy, but I DON'T have a solution/recommendation. I don't like mushroom pegs, but if you want the pieces to be swappable but also secure, I haven't seen anyone else do it better, really.

I should also be fair and point out that according to reviews, the new exclusive barbarian with the dumbass tattoos apparently has detents in the ankles to fix the floppy foot syndrome.

The hot water bath. I had to give him and the lizard several of them in order to fully unlock every joint. And I still have to do it when I want to swap certain things out.

But while you're doing the hot water bath, everything should just ease out.

The worst one for me was the sheathe and alternate whip that came with my lizard Battle Cat guy. That warped severely but an alternate hot cold dip reset the plastic.

Kubla Khan's an easy preorder for me. Not really pulled in by the other two.

It's funny, this should be the type of line that hooks me long-term but for some reason it's kind of a peripheral line for me. I thought it'd inspire more storytelling in my mind but it just hasn't fully grabbed me the way I thought it would.

Conversely, I'm going back and forth on the snakemen, which are the only things in this line that have interested me so far.

After Jaeger, I'm ready to go all-in on this line. I understand why they're hesitant to make products similar to what 4H has been producing for more than a decade, but that's exactly what I want. IMO, their figures are better than Mythic Legions. Give me a knight, skeleton, wizard, dwarf, etc.
(was one of 'em...mine? 🥺)

Gah, the damn algorithm didn't even show it.

I think the line needs MORE to really make the gears turn. So far the entire line is naked guys with swords and lizard/reptile guys (let's be honest - not all that different even if they did go to the expense of new body parts). I don't know about you, but for me what inspires the storytelling is possibilities. Seeing the breadth of a world and what can be made with what's in front of me. And so far it's just 'lizard people in different kinds of armor' and 'barbarians in different kinds of armor.'

I think that's why I was a little disappointed to see wave 4 was just kind of more of the same stuff we got with waves 1 and 2.

This is it right here. I actually think the figures are more durable and the engineering is more creative htan 4H (I do think 4H is more vibrant in color schemes but that's a lesser worry). It's that I don't want six fish men, six lizard men, and six mostly naked dudes... If they were doing wizards and rangers and knights (or y'know, ladies) and other fantasy stuff to world build with I'd be buying whole waves. Hell, the one figure I haven't set aside is Jaeger cos he does something different from ANYTHING else I own. I think Who-Man is more fun to pose than a Mythic Legion barbarian, but there's not much different from him to keep him company.

I'm definitely keeping a strong eye on their future offerings because the potential is huge but I need more variety. Or alternately like I'd build an entire army of Deep Ones/Murlocs/Kuo Toa from that upcoming wave but they're priced at a price point I'm quite comfortable buying individual characters at but not army building.
