Another weird one is when someone hits me up, then inquires about listings from weeks or even months ago.

I've had people send me lowball offers, get declined and then come back with even lower offers a day or two later like I'm going to be desperate to sell. It's interesting how people on Ebay view themselves as being "in the driver's seat" over stuff like trinket and toys.

"If you don't somebody else will" must be an older phrase people don't use anymore.

Oh yeah, we've had guys, more than once, make it very clear they're keeping track of our listings with messages like 'you've had this up for three weeks, maybe just sell it to me for X.' My favorite is coming back with 'I actually didn't want to sit on it for a week and I didn't want to sell it for an insulting amount, so I gave it away and forgot to take the listing down.' I've even had people accuse me (or my wife) of LYING about not having the item anymore because 'no one just gets rid of things for free.'

The funny thing about low ballers is when they catch me in the mood to indulge with it, that's never the one quality

It also ends up they want it shipped or they want me to hold it until they can get a car or they want me to meet them in downtown Toronto if I'm ever down there.

I recently told a guy I don't do discounts on shipping because that's just more time out of my day and he got really huffy about it, but then 10 minutes later someone else asked if they could show up in an hour with cash and it was gone. I enjoyed telling the first guy.

My wife doesn't drive, and she handles most of this stuff, so she'll always put 'pick up only' and the area we live. Inevitably there will be someone like 'can you drive this down to Calgary if I pay 20 bucks extra?' or some ridiculous bullshit.
