Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

Two things.

1.) Fuckin' wow. Those might as well just read : "Human - you know what a human is." "Goblin - it's the D&D ones, guys." "Minotaur - Greek myth but edgier - you get it." LAZY and uninspired stuff.

2.) Are you fucking kidding me that they didn't even bother to employ an actual artist? Like, I get it - these guys would liquefy their action figures and inject them into their own balls if they could. The 4H are the epitome of self-obsessed dipshits. BUT, how do you miss the opportunity to turn your TTRPG scam into, AT LEAST, a really cool art book of your various character designs? Lots of people buy TTRPGs partly or solely for all the cool fantasy art.
And you fill yours with pictures of your fucking action figures. You absolute losers.

Or worse—they’re re-using existing art. You’ve got thousands of fans creating crazy action figure photography out there—hire a few and get some original images into the book! I fully expected them to use action figure photos instead of paintings etc. but just using stuff that’s already on their website is lame.

Hilariously, their Minotaur is actively worse than the one in standard 5e. Actually their goblins are significantly worse. Goblins in the base game are pretty fun.

Pathfinder goblins are best goblins. But even if you don't like them, at least PF tried to DO something with them beyond just 'I dunno, goblins... amiright?!'

This entire project is just the epitome of greed and laziness.

They sent Jeremy Girard to an RPG-writing boot camp for this?

Pathfinder goblins are FUCKING HILARIOUS. I know there's some problematic stuff in there but I will always have a soft spot for "pyromaniacs who hate dogs and are terrified of horses due to generational trauma who do not understand what mortality means until the moment of their own demise." PF goblins are a hoot to RP.

At least DnD goblin player characters have fun shit like nimble escape - you can play them like pests so the DM is trying to hit you like they're playing a game of whack a mole. I ruined a DM's day in a one shot by basically making a goblin with FOUR NEGATIVE STATS impossible to hit. I was playing a cockroach.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't show these character options to my home game let alone present them as a grown-ass professional publication.

Guys! The 4H pin has been unlocked!

I all seriousness though do people actually use these pins? For the life of me I have never been in a situation where I have needed or wanted to wear a pin for an IP. The only reason I could ever see myself wearing a pin is for a cause. Is there a subset of people that go around wearing pins for fun? Not trying to be disrespectful or rude just honestly curious because over there years I have ended up with a lot of pins and I cannot seem to even give them away.

Y'know, I picked up a few of the oversized pins Beadle & Grim's put out - I think I got the Harper and Zhentarim pins from Forgotten Realms? I was going to put them on my work bag as like a "hey, wink wink, do you play dindy too?" thing. But I never put them on the bag. They're nice pins though.

Pins? Yeah, I never understood the appeal either - but there's definitely a market for that and people that are into it. This one that 4H put out for the kickstarter seems pretty boring and might as well not even exist in my eyes. Pretty much the same with the RPG.

I'm only here for the figures so I'm not paying too much attention to the other stuff anyway. The evil paladin has grown on me a bit, I think the biggest detractor is the blue elf head matching too much with all the blue in his outfit. I think if you throw the black & silver helmet from the head pack on him, it's going to look pretty sweet actually. Hoping he gets unlocked, but also kinda not hoping because I don't really want to dump anther $60 into this right now.

So I will chime in as a 'pin guy'. I don't wear them on my clothing but I do pick up cool pins I see for properties that I don't want action figures of but want to support or whatever. I have a flap on one of the messenger bags I use at cons that is festooned with pins. I wouldn't go out of my way to get this exclusive pin... but I have a pin of Castle Greyskull, for example.

I used to adorn my SDCC lanyard with pins, but that got heavy and a couple fell off so I stopped that

Disney people know tho... there is a whole Disney pi-trading world that makes us here look like casuals.

Didn't Penny Arcade/PAX have an entire line of "Pinny Arcade" collectible pins for years? It's for sure a subculture. Not sure how big an overlap it has with Mythic Legions but it's there.

(I dug through my dice bag and found those Beadle & Grim pins. B&G does not screw around. You could kill a man with the Zhent pin.

The Horsemen do pins with their Figura Obscuras so I have to assume the cult members who have a collection of poor quality coffee mugs, skate decks, and graphic tees also probably also have several 4H branded pins in a junk drawer they’ll consider tossing this one into a mark of honor.
