BBTS shipping going up to $6....

$6 is still a hella good deal, though

When I first read the email I was like “shit so I gotta ship before the 30th, ugh! I just shipped my last order at the beginning of the month and now I gotta hope Yeti and Sasquatch hit soon so I can ship as soon possible because they’re gonna be slammed, this is gonna be a nightmare…” but then I realized it’s $2

$2 spaced over 90 days… if that ever becomes an issue for me I’ll stop buying a 75 cent gumball once a month to free up the funds.

Sucks this is the country we live in we can’t have $4 flat rate shipping anymore, but at least this is hardly the worst thing to happen, it could be $20 or just done away with and moved to a weight and distance system in case I’m extra fucked, so I’ll take the small victories in defeat.

Yeah, it's 10 bucks for Canucks.

Keep in mind it costs me like $20 just to send an action figure or even a Lego at packet rate to a different quarter of the GTA.

Hello,

At BigBadToyStore, we've always believed that shipping should be simple and easy to understand. For years, our Flat Rate Shipping has made it easy for collectors to focus on what matters most: getting the items they love, with clear, upfront costs.

We're committed to keeping shipping costs as low as possible while continuing to provide the top-notch service you expect from us. With the rise of carrier rates and surcharges that have risen across the industry, our U.S. Flat Rate Shipping fee will adjust to $6 per shipment starting March 31st. This includes items ordered earlier but are expected to ship on or after March 31st.

If this change affects your plans, we understand. You can log into “My Account” to adjust your open orders or pre-orders, and you may elect to ship the items from your Pile of Loot before this change goes into effect. We appreciate your understanding that, although most pre-orders do not require an upfront payment, non-refundable deposits cannot be returned in the event of a cancellation. Should you have any questions or require assistance, our Customer Service team is always available and happy to help.

Thank you for being part of the BigBadToyStore community.

Sincerely,

BBTS Customer Service

It’s $2, we’ll live.

Dude... it costs me $12 to $15 to ship a single figure cross country. $6 for the gigantic boxes they have to send me is a steal.

I currently have 18 items in my POL ... one of which is that big bear from 4H... and the earliest 'must ship' date is 48 days away. There may be 10 more items in there before I ship. $6 is still a bargain.

Whenever I see you guys fretting about your pile of loot bursting at the seams with cool things, but you don't want to ship it because you've got two other items potentially coming within the next month or so.

Is that the $4 shipping. Because what the hell guys. I'd be shipping every week. Some guy just spent 40 bucks getting something from my end of the GTA to Toronto proper.

6 dollar shipping. That means 3 shipments is 6, 6, 6. And their logo is black and red?! They're not even trying to hide it anymore!

Oh, my bad, I thought we were supposed to freak out. 🤪

In all seriousness, it's still way better than most other sites. As much as I love, say, Entertainment Earth, even their "Super Saver Shipping" can tack on almost the cost of another figure at times. So if I can get a big ol' pile of plastic sent my way for $6, then I'm good. Now, if you said that the flat rate shipping or Pile of Loot feature was going away, then that would be cause for concern. I'm sure, if things keep going the way they're going, there may come a day when neither is profitable for them, but I hope that day is far off. Been using BBTS since 2011 (man, that makes me feel old), so I'm sticking with 'em.
