Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I'm sure they'll get a last minute surge from action figure buyers since I know they notoriously get folks for last 48 hour preorders but it really does feel like it just should've been a preorder on their site.

Thought it was funny that they have "available now" on their Meta ad though when the figures are a few years out, but any veteran KS backer knows nothing is actually available now on crowdfunding.

I basically wanted a $30 figure and some head kits. It came to around $110 dollars or something so I never ordered it. With all the other stuff I'm buying I'm likely to forget about this thing and just move on.

Being charged for the dwarf head exclusive and the green snake druid dude from BBTS this week. I don't know why but I'm REALLY looking forward to the snake guy. I think I've liked the previous releases but this is the one that has a story feel to it? Or maybe the green just pops to me.

Gotta find a body for the dwarf though, forgot I had a spare head on order.

Just to double check, are there pieces that wouldn't be compatible with the Dwarves?
Like body parts? I'm not sure the 2.0 bodies (the skinny ones) are a perfect fit but I haven't run into any issues with the non-skinny bodies and parts swaps for the dwarves.

The Dwarves use the 1.0 body, so anything compatible with that body will work on a Dwarf.

The only uniquely Dwarven parts are the legs. They *do* have unique forearms and feet too, but even the Horsemen will use standard forearms and feet on their official dwarves in the kitbash filler waves so don’t worry about that unless you absolutely need to shave a few millimeters of the height or arm length.

Cool. I've never really gone too far with the swaps and kit bashing, so I didn't want to splash out on some cool pieces and regret it.

I still don't really know what 1.0 vs 2.0 even differentiates when Dorklair goes on about it.

Oh that’s easy:

1.0 is the standard body, the Knights, the Orcs, the Barbarians, most of the Dwarf body… anything introduced in the first Kickstarter

2.0 is the slimmer male skeletons and elves*, all the ladies expect Neve, Legendary Barbarian, and the new lady Dwarf, and most of the goblins except like the big one named Bonk or whatever. They’re kind of moving away from this body (since they can make 1.0 ladies now and have slowly been introducing 1.0 male elves) so it’s pretty easy to avoid this one.

*if you see a male figure with the circle with like seven smaller orbs in it on the chest that’s a 2.0 body, they only made one 2.0 male torso for non-Gobbos/Skellies

I think of it as "thicc and skinny" as the two bodies. The newer buck is thicc and matches the earlier thicc one.

I have no idea where the muscle mommy buck fits for parts, and I haven't tested "the one body in underwear" female body with swaps on other bucks either but I think it'd be close.

yeah! It’s confusing because 1.0 just means fist Kickstarter, 2.0 means woman/elf/goblin, but then 3.0 is “males with upgraded articulation”, BUT THEN they call updated versions of older figures “2” which is NOT 2.0…

So here’s a guide!
This is a male 2.0 body, if a figure uses ANY of these parts: 2.0, 99% of all 2.0 males use this torso so it’s easy to spot.

Standard Gobbo! If you see this chest plate, it’s 2.0!

Scorpion guy actually introduces, finally after all these years, a new 2.0 male torso piece, so he’s the only male without the orb chest plate give away

The Tall Gray Alien in Cosmic I believe is also 2.0 compatible, but I’ve never felt the urge to swap parts on him to actually confirm. I think Neve is 1.0 compatible (The cosmic alien she shares arms with was) but mine has a tight waist and I haven’t had a chance to heat her to pop her apart to see if she can wear over belts or pants yet.

I want a sort of Juggernaut/Hulkbuster chunky Warhammer armor for my Dwarven Cleric.

Are there characters I'd look to to help me ala carte parts?

Helmet or no helmet? There are a few options for gorgets but the dwarven unmasked beards won'tr work with them. The shoulder pauldrons are pretty much universal. Maybe grab the cheapest base body for a dwarf (I've seen the last silver/gunmetal one for about 50 bucks lately) and build off that?
